Hey friend. π
If you're reading this, you probably want to know the story behind Phoenix Boudoir β why it exists, why it matters so much to me, and why I believe with every fiber of my being that every woman deserves to see herself the way I see her.
So here it is. The real, unfiltered version.
Before Phoenix
Phoenix Boudoir wasn't always Phoenix. We started as Pin Me Up Boudoir β a name that represented a very different version of me. In 2015, when I began my boudoir journey, I was still learning how to love who I was. Still figuring out how to find the confidence that you see in me today.
It was a long road, friend. A really long road.
The Year Everything Changed
In 2022, I was hit with a severe health crisis that lasted an entire year. My body went through so many changes that I could barely learn to love one version before it would change again. Every single day was an absolute struggle just to make it through and keep doing what I love.
There were days I didn't recognize myself in the mirror. Days I wanted to give up. Days where getting out of bed felt like climbing a mountain.
The Rebirth
But something happened during that time that I didn't expect. I started to see something different in the mirror β something much deeper than the things going on with my body on the surface. A different version of me was being born.
My health was so bad that it DEMANDED a different version of myself step up to the plate in order to just survive the day.
And she did. She showed up. She fought. She found a strength and beauty that I had never seen before β even though I was at my physical worst.
Why Phoenix
That's when I knew my brand no longer represented who I was. A phoenix symbolizes rising from the ashes of who you were to be reborn into something new, something stronger, something more beautiful than before.
That's what I experienced. And that's what I want for every woman who walks through my studio doors.
What I Want You to Know
I don't just take pretty pictures. I help women meet a new βrebornβ version of themselves. A version that sees her own beauty β not the kind that's measured by a number on a scale or a filter on a phone, but the kind that comes from deep within.
βYou are beautiful for WHO YOU ARE. Learn to love her. Learn to take care of her. Learn to see her beauty for more than just what's on the surface. It's finally time.β
β Amy Mckeethan
If any part of this story resonated with you β if you've been waiting for a sign that it's your turn to rise β this is it. I'd be honored to be part of your journey.
With so much love,
Amy π
