If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me βWhat should I wear?β before their session... well, let's just say I'd have a LOT of dollars. π
Here's the thing β there's no wrong answer. But there ARE some tips that'll help you feel your absolute best and get the most variety in your gallery.
The Golden Rule: Bring 3β5 Outfits
Variety is everything. We want different vibes, different moods, different levels of βoh wow.β Here's what I recommend:
- β₯A matching lingerie set β Classic, gorgeous, and always photographs beautifully. Black, red, or white are timeless choices.
- β₯Something cozy β An oversized flannel, a partner's button-down, a chunky sweater that falls off one shoulder. These shots are always client favorites.
- β₯A bodysuit β Lace, mesh, or solid. Bodysuits are incredibly flattering and give that editorial, high-fashion feel.
- β₯Something personal β A jersey from your favorite team, your partner's hoodie, a vintage tee. These add personality and make the session uniquely yours.
- β₯Just you β Some of the most powerful images are the simplest. A sheet, a shadow, and your confidence. That's it.
What About Sizing?
Please hear me on this: do NOT buy something two sizes too small hoping it'll βmotivateβ you. Buy what fits your body RIGHT NOW. Confidence looks better than any outfit ever could β and when something fits well, it shows.
Don't Forget the Accessories
Heels (even if you can't walk in them β you'll mostly be posing!), jewelry, a robe, thigh-high stockings, a hat, a veil if you're a bride... accessories take a look from great to *chef's kiss*. π
Still Not Sure? That's What I'm Here For.
Every Phoenix Boudoir session includes a pre-session consultation where we plan your wardrobe together. I'll help you pick pieces that flatter YOUR body, match YOUR vibe, and make YOU feel unstoppable.
βThe best outfit you can wear to your session? Confidence. Everything else is just a bonus.β
