Pass The Cheetos - Should I Spray Tan Before My Session

In short... NO! While one of the biggest concerns I get from girls is that they will appear "pasty" on camera, I always say no when they ask if they should spray tan. Here are the top 3 reasons to trust yours truly on this one and skip the tanning:

- Spray tans tend to make you look like a Cheeto on camera - I'm a big fan of bold color (I assume you are as well since you are here) so remember that all the color you put on your body (clothes, makeup, spray tans etc.) will all appear much bolder in your final edited image. That also means that you will be more like a FLAMING CHEETO if you go for that spray tan, friend. That takes a lot of editing hours to fix. Let's not LOL

- If you have never had a spray tan before (many women haven't!), you risk not knowing how your skin will react to a new treatment. You could have an allergic reaction. Seen it! You might have chosen someone that doesn't apply well, and it looks splotchy. Had that too! Any time you put a new chemical treatment on your body for any reason that is new to you.... you run a BIG risk of how your body will respond. I have seen shoots canceled because a chemical treatment ruined someone's skin. (unfortunately for that beautiful girl she probably still has the scars on her face from her chemical burn). Trust me friend, new chemicals on your skin are nothing to mess with and I have had them personally go wrong for me and my clients as well. BE CAREFUL!

- There's no reason to fear being pasty. Girls assume that if their skin is fair, they need to change that but in truth you don't. I give everyone a bit of a warm glow when I edit so I will be sure your fair skin looks just perfect in the end. Trust me and trust the process. You will thank me later!
