-Meet Me-

Hey Friend! My name is Amy Mckeethan. With over 12 years in photography and more than a decade specializing in boudoir, I've had the joy of capturing empowering and transformative moments for my clients.

My journey began in East Texas, where I built a thriving boudoir business. Now I am thrilled to bring my passion to my personal studio on the historic Strand in Galveston. I'm dedicated to creating images that help my clients embrace their true selves and feel empowered like never before.
-Meet David-

My husband and partner. You might not always see him front and center but trust us- David is the guy who makes it all happen. From setting up the studio to hauling props, adjusting lights, building sets, and making sure everything runs smoothly on shoot days - he's the behind - the - scenes MVP at Phoenix. Whether he's cracking a quiet joke to ease nerves or making sure every set is just right, David brings calm, reliability, and a whole lot of heart to everything we do.
- Meet Ruth-

Ruth began her photography in 2004 with Field Entertainment/Disney on Ice and went on to manage Picture Me Studios after moving to Texas. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion and by 2015, boudoir was her specialty.

With experience in everything from weddings and maternity to branding, lifestyle, and newborns, and even pet portraits, there isn't much this girl can't do. Ruth brings heart, skill, and a genuine love for storytelling to every session.
Who Is Phoenix?
What's in a name? Turns out... a lot. When Phoenix began, we weren't even Phoenix. We were Pin Me Up Boudoir. Pin Me Up Boudoir represented a very different me. Let me explain.
In 2015 I began my boudoir journey a very different woman than the one you see now. I had JUST began to learn how to love who I was and finding the confidence within myself that you see today. It was a long journey, friend.
In 2022, I was also hit with a severe health crisis for a whole year. During that time my body went through so many changes that I could barely learn to love one version before it would change again. Every day was an absolute struggle just to make it through the day and keep doing what I love. That's when I began to see something different in the mirror; something much deeper than the things that were going on with my body on the surface. It was a different me that was being born. My health was so bad that it DEMANDED a different version of myself step up to the plate in order to just survive the day.
I found a strength and beauty in myself during that time that I had never seen before even though I was at my physical worst. That's when I knew that my brand no longer represented who I was anymore. My brand needed to represent something so much more than just physical beauty. After all... what is physical beauty without a beautiful character? Pin Me Up Boudoir needed to be reborn.
I knew Phoenix Boudoir was the only name that would fit. A phoenix symbolizes rising from the ashes of who you were to be reborn. I seek to help every woman meet a new "reborn" version of herself in each session. I want you to see that you are beautiful for so much more than just what is on the surface. You are beautiful for WHO YOU ARE. Learn to love her. Learn to take care of her. Learn to see her beauty for more than just what's on the surface. It's finally time.
