The Last Thing You Want To Do At Your Boudoir Session!

When it comes to boudoir, I have definitely learned some tried and true do's and don'ts over the course of almost 10 years. Some rules just work across the board no matter who we're talking about. The one that sticks out in my mind is one that it took even me... a professional, a long time to learn.

We've all seen them right? The PERFECT boudoir images scattered all across Pinterest and Google where the model is literally FLAWLESS and executes the pose EFFORTLESSLY. I would love to tell you that this is how your boudoir session will go but that would be a lie. Many times girls come in with a predetermined idea of what they think will look good in when it comes to posing, outfits, lighting etc that corresponds to what they are viewing on the internet. Here's what girls miss when they come in with their own ideas of what looks good.

THE IMAGES YOU SAW ON PINTEREST AREN'T YOU! There are so many factors to be considered when working with each individual client. Not all bodies function the same! Some girls have physical limitations that prevent them from executing certain poses etc. If that client comes in with an expectation for herself that she will pose as flawlessly as the girl on Pinterest, she would be setting herself up for failure!

When you step in front of my camera, I spend the first 10 minutes evaluating what YOUR body is physically capable of, what's YOUR best lighting, YOUR best facial expression etc. YOUR best images come not from attempting to imitate what you have seen... but by putting full faith and trust in me, your photographer, to draw out who you are and show you AT YOUR BEST! Any of the girls you see featured on our website or social media are all real, everyday girls who are not models. They are all girls who have walked in scared like you, afraid they don't have what it takes. Those that shine the brightest are the ones who put full faith and trust in me to show the world their best side! Don't worry friend, I've got you.
