Meet Your Photographer

Hey Friend! My name is Amy Mckeethan. I have been in photography for over a decade and specialized in boudoir for 9 years. I have spent my career building my boudoir business in the East Texas area and have now opened our own personal studio on the Historic Strand Street on Galveston Island. My husband and I love creating images that empower our clients to love themselves in a way they never have before.

Meet My Partner

Hi my name is David. I lived in the East Texas area all my life until moving to Galveston in June of 2023. I met my wife 8 years ago and now work alongside her as her partner. I work behind the scenes building sets as well as providing complimentary makeup to all of our clients. I look forward to helping create empowering images with you!

Who Is Phoenix?

What's in a name? Turns out... a lot. When Phoenix began, we weren't even Phoenix. We were Pin Me Up Boudoir. Pin Me Up Boudoir represented a very different me. Let me explain.

In 2015 I began my boudoir journey a very different woman than the one you see now. I had JUST began to learn how to love who I was and finding the confidence within myself that you see today. It was a long journey, friend.

In 2022, I was also hit with a severe health crisis for a whole year. During that time my body went through so many changes that I could barely learn to love one version before it would change again. Every day was an absolute struggle just to make it through the day and keep doing what I love. That's when I began to see something different in the mirror; something much deeper than the things that were going on with my body on the surface. It was a different me that was being born. My health was so bad that it DEMANDED a different version of myself step up to the plate in order to just survive the day.

I found a strength and beauty in myself during that time that I had never seen before even though I was at my physical worst. That's when I knew that my brand no longer represented who I was anymore. My brand needed to represent something so much more than just physical beauty. After all... what is physical beauty without a beautiful character? Pin Me Up Boudoir needed to be reborn.

I knew Phoenix Boudoir was the only name that would fit. A phoenix symbolizes rising from the ashes of who you were to be reborn. I seek to help every woman meet a new "reborn" version of herself in each session. I want you to see that you are beautiful for so much more than just what is on the surface. You are beautiful for WHO YOU ARE. Learn to love her. Learn to take care of her. Learn to see her beauty for more than just what's on the surface. It's finally time.
